Fukri is a 2017 film written and directed by Siddique, starring Jayasurya in the lead role.[1] It is produced by Siddique, Vaishak Rajan, and Jenso Jose under the banners of S Talkies and Vaishaka Cynyma.[2] For the first time in his film career of over 30 years, actor Siddique is playing the title role of a film.

After his 2015 film 'Bhaskar the Rascal', director Siddique returns with another emotional melodrama with Jayasurya in the lead. The director duo Siddique-Lal has produced some of the best comedy films in Malayalam industry and almost all their hits have been remade in other languages. While Siddique dons the role of a director, writer and a co-producer in Fukri, Lal appears as Ramadan Ali, an important character in the movie.
The plot of the movie revolves around Luqman aka Lucky played by Jayasurya. Lucky and his friend Franklin (Bhagath Manuel) are orphans and engineering dropouts, and are goodhearted fraudsters. The story unveils itself after they get involved with the powerful Fukri family headed by Sulaiman Fukri (Siddique).
The story has nothing new for the audience as it tells the tale of a hero trying to bring together two families or two main characters. But the positive in the screenplay is that it has many 'laugh out loud' moments embedded in it. Lucky and his friends are in the driver's seat in this half-baked entertainer. Unlikely from a man of his calibre, the director appears to be not in control in some of the scenes in the beginning of the movie. The inclusion of many unwanted characters and outdated comic sequences has backfired.
Other than Jayasurya and his friends, the cast of 'Fukri' includes Siddique, Lal, Prayaga Martin, Anu Sithara, KPAC Lalitha and Joju George. Each actor has performed with grace and fits perfectly into their roles.
The music of the movie is good especially the song 'Konjiva Kanmani' which has been pictured beautifully. The cinematography by Vijay Ulaganath has brought the richness of the Fukri family on screen and is good.
The positives of the film are its cast and the timely dosage of bone-ticklers, while predictability and loose script are its negatives.
